It measures the electrical activity produced by muscles during rest and movement, helping doctors identify disorders affecting the muscles, peripheral nerves, or the connection between nerves and muscles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EMG is often performed together with <\/span><b>Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to provide a comprehensive assessment of the neuromuscular system.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How Does EMG Work?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During an EMG examination, a doctor inserts a very fine needle electrode into selected muscles to record their electrical activity.
