Dr. M. Alfa Ferry, MD (UKM), FRCS (Glasgow), FCS (Cleveland Clinic, USA), SpBTKV, FIHA, is a highly experienced cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeon with over three decades of expertise. He graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1988, completed his general surgery training at the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 1995, and further specialized in cardiac surgery at Institut Jantung Malaysia in 1999. He then pursued a fellowship in pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, USA, in 2000. Since being appointed as a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon in 2000, Dr. Alfa Ferry has performed over 6,000 cardiac surgeries, including CABG, valve repair, Bentall procedures, aneurysm repairs, cardiac tumor removals, as well as thoracic and vascular surgeries. He has extensive experience in various leading hospitals across Indonesia. His special interests include minimally invasive coronary surgery, congenital heart surgery, Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS), and endovascular aneurysm repair.
