Occupational therapy is concerned with helping patients whose everyday life has been affected by physical, cognitive and/or mental health problems. Occupational therapists will first assess a patient’s functional status and use meaningful activities and a variety of treatment methods to maximize the patient’s functional potential in work, self-care, and play.
